I can’t believe how busy it has been, and yet so rewarding. Sharing with others, learning with others, experiencing completely new things…
Here are some thoughts straight from a Bali beach
next time… I will keep the screen still… but maybe this is an insight to how my brain is looking and constantly noticing, and the problem with a camera is that it is unable to see everything that I can see at once and I want to offer that opportunity to notice everything. Which then results not being able to allow the watcher to focus on what they would like to notice within the shot.
Tomorrow I plan to sit and share from the new place I am staying in… but in 2 sleeps I will be in Vietnam… so tomorrow will all be about fixing and preparing for that trip. I want to make some changes to my presentations, I want to spend some time reading the Vietnamese early years curriculum - so that I can make those adaptations as meaningful as possible for the educators in Vietnam…
At the same time it offers me an opportunity to learn.
Tomorrow I will also share some notes from previous presentations that I have listened to at conferences for my paid supporters… but for now hopefully this film awakens your own thoughts about play and social justice and the importance of education in the framing of a liveable, equitable world for everyone and not just some!
It was lovely to spend the first 10 minutes of my day listening to your thinking by the water. I enjoyed the shifting focus. It helped me ‘notice’ more. And I will be revisiting, to listen without looking and to reflect properly, because, as usual, you put some wise words in there. Again.
